The iShares MSCI Global Silver Miners ETF seeks to track the investment results of the MSCI ACWI Select Silver Miners Investable Market Index (IMI) (the Underlying Index), which has been developed by MSCI Inc. (the Index Provider or MSCI) to measure the combined performance of equity securities of companies primarily engaged in the business of silver mining in both developed and emerging markets. MSCI begins with the MSCI ACWI Investable Market Index (IMI), and then selects securities of companies that are primarily focused on the exploration and production of silver. Companies which primarily invest in, but do not operate, gold mines and companies that mine or process gold and other precious metals, in addition to silver, may be included in the Underlying Index.
